REN96 Pre-SNAGS Meet

Stuart McDougall

Well done to all of our 18 swimmers who competed across the weekend in Linwood at the REN96 Pre-SNAGS Meet. We are very proud of all of our swimmers who raced and had a very strong showing with 64% of races being new personal bests.

There were some delays in the first afternoon session on the Saturday which meant a very late finish to session 2 on Saturday evening. These things are going to happen at meets and I felt the swimmers dealt with the situation very well.

Some of our standout performances were Charlotte Adair improving her 200m freestyle by 6 seconds from the time she did just 2 weeks ago, Carly Cairns and Arran Graham doing the same by 4 seconds on their 200m IM and 200m Freestyle respectively, Madison Gourlay achieving her first every SNAGS consideration time on 200m Backstroke and Hannah Matchett showing her hard work was paying off with great strides forward on her 3 races.

Congratulations to the following swimmers who also picked up medals across the weekend:

Silver

Liam Hendry 11-13 years 50m Backstroke

Bronze

Kimberley Cameron 14 years 50m Backstroke

Madison Gourlay 15 years 200m Backstroke

Cameron Hamill 16 years + over 50m Backstroke
