SAST "Murdoch's" Mini Meet

We had 20 of our younger swimmers ranging from SwimSTARS, Potential, Age Group and Junior Performance squads all attend the meet at the Citadel in Ayr. For many of them this was their first time back racing since before the festive break and it was a great meet to start off 2023.
The swimmers engaged very well with their process goal setting, with all the swimmers having goals in place before attending the meet. This was useful as it allowed the swimmers to break down their race and focus on one specific aspect of either their stroke or the race itself, which resulted in some very good performances. We will be looking to do this at more meets throughout the year.
Although full focus was on goals, it was still very impressive the mega amount of PB’s, Medals and Swam to Fast bands our swimmers took away from the meet.
There was so much positivity in the atmosphere with everyone cheering on their teammates and swimmers coming out of races very happy. The swimmers also showed off their dance moves at lunch dancing to the ‘Y-M-C-A’ and the ‘Cha Cha Slide’.
