Renfrew Baths Mini Meet

On Saturday we had a strong squad of our 11 and under swimmers head up to the ON-X at Linwood for the Renfrew Baths Mini Meet.
For many of the swimmers they have been focusing on competition warm ups and the importance of having their own. This meet was the first time they went in and carried out their own individual warm up and it was very impressive to watch.
Its always great to see the swimmers take away PB’s and medals from the meets, however I have also enjoyed watching the swimmers focus and improve on their skills such as getting past the flags from starts and turns, not breathing on first couple of strokes and keeping head down on the finishes. The skills might sound simple but they arent always easy to carry out, and the swimmers deserve a lot of praise for this as they are taking in all the coaches feedback and are putting it into practice.
As always the atmosphere from the team was electric and the support each swimmers has for their teammates is very warming and brings a lot of positivity out of everybody on poolside.
