West District Long Course Pre-Snags Meet

Another Fantastic weekend of racing from our North Ayrshire swimmers was had at Tollcross on 25/26 March. A number of our swimmers were targeting SNAGs consideration times or improvements on the times they already had, and they did not disappoint.

Dean Binnie, Emma Binnie, Caelin Chan, Evie Chan, Cameron Hamill, Cerys McKellar, Zoe Matchett, Ruby McInnes, Hannah McMillan and Lauren Peckover were the 10 swimmers competing across the weekend and out of 34 races, achieved a total of 27 new long course personal bests.

A few of our stand out races were Emma Binnie going under 30s for the first time long or short course in the 50m freestyle, Ruby McInnes achieving a SNAGs consideration time in the 200m I.M , Hannah McMillan and Lauren Peckover both racing in the 400m I.M long course for the first time and Caelin Chan winning a fantastic gold medal with a super 200m I.M. Cameron Hamill also made significant improvement on his 200m I.M from only last month. He has been working hard at increasing his stroke rate on backstroke and it has paid off.
