I am writing to let you know how thankful I am to Lewis for being such an informative and effective teacher! We have not had many coaching experience within and beyond Norwich Swans, but we have had a few group swimming teachers. We find Lewis so much more effective and hardworking when coaching the children, with eye for details for the children to make timely improvement. He also strikes the perfect balance in his style of communication with the learners: confident but empathetic, kind but also firm.
I think Norwich Swans are very fortunate indeed to have Lewis and more to the point, my son is very lucky to be coached by Lewis.

My daughter started in January as a very nervous swimmer. Seeing her now and how far she's come, you'd never believe she's the same swimmer! The biggest thing for me is that she's developed a love for swimming and runs into her sessions with a huge smile on her face. I just wanted to say thank you for being such an amazing coach and thank you to Norwich Swan for being such a great club.

The teacher at Heartsease was so good and patient with my daughter (and all of the kids!), by listening and letting her finish what she was talking about and interacting and telling some silly stories back, which put her ease straight away. The assistant in the water was also great with her and she could hear him giving her lots of encouragement when assisting her, which again filled her with confidence when she was unsure. She came away from the lesson so excited and happy, wanting to be the last one out of the pool and she can't wait to go again next week!

My son and his friend did their first lesson back on Sat night at the Hewett, 7-8pm. I just wanted to give some feedback as I thought how it was run was excellent and the guys afterwards were absolutely buzzing – they loved the pool and more importantly, they loved the teachers and the lesson itself. Bearing in mind they’d been away for some time, they were concerned about their lack of ‘swim readiness’ but seems the lesson was just right with regards to difficulty and also it focussed on the technical aspect of the strokes which they really enjoyed.

I wanted to say how grateful I am to all the learn to swim teachers. When my son moved to Town Close he really struggled with the deep end and took quite a few weeks to finally overcome this new fear but the teachers and assistants never gave up on him and were constantly helping & encouraging him and with so much patience too. The assistant has been paramount in getting him to the point where he has now completely overcome that fear and has finally passed his stage 5 and is well on his way to passing Stage 6. So I just wanted to say a massive thank you to them all and let them know how appreciated they are.

As a PE teacher (with the ASA swimming teaching qualification) I would like to commend you and your coaches on the quality of the lessons my children have received over their time with you. Of all the many sports they have and had coaching in, I strongly believe your manner and technical advice is the best by far. The way the terms are structured is logical and lends to real progress - especially if swimmers can commit to 2 or more sessions a week.
