What a first round!
bletchley & district's first gala in two years takes a solid fourth place!
After two solid years in waiting, what a night it was at the first Chiltern League of 2022. The team walked on poolside against some tough competition consisting of Leighton Buzzard Swimming Club, Linslade Crusaders, Flitwick Dolphins, Aylesbury and District, and Henley. With these teams made up of many county and regional swimmers, bletchley & district were not going to be put off at all. With some pet talk and guidance from Head Coach and the Team Managers bletchley & district dropped everybody's jaw coming joint 2nd within the first 10 events! Throughout the gala tonnes of Personal Bests were smashed along the way. Many of whom delolished the No Faster Times and received 'Speeding tickets'. For the head coach, finally seeing the team produce much amazing swims and times was a sight to behold.
Having to up their game, the teams battled on slowly catching up with bletchey & district eventually leaving the team to take joint 4th place with Aylesbury and District Swimming Club.
Head coach congratulated the team on their first performance and expressed how proud he was. "The other teams were made up of so many county and regional swimmers, and yet we came fourth!" With updated times and personal bests, a new team list is already being formulated for the next round.
