Fab Swims at the Frantic 50s

It was a great and fast evening at the Harpenden S.C. Frantic 50s Open Meet held at the Inspire: Luton 50m Long Course competitive pool. Three of our swimmers gained qualifying times to compete in what was a fast, frantic and enjoyable Saturday evening for all.

Around 15 swimming clubs from across the region entered, from St.Ives SC (Cambridgeshire) in the north, right down to Reed's School SC down in Surrey, totalling around 200 swimmers in what would become a fun, frantic evening!

For Guglielmo, it was his first experience swimming in a 50m Long Course swimming pool. For Beau and Orla who last raced here at last month's county Championships, it was another chance get more Personal Bests and maybe some neckwear.

All three gained PBs, and Orla won Bronze in her 13-year age group for the 50m Backstroke. And for our Team Manager, Richard, he came away winning a raffle prize - Enjoy!

Coming up this March, we have the 2nd Round of the Chiltern League, followed by the Linslade SC Open Meet. Soon to be advertised is Dunstable SC Duel in the Pool Splash Night (22nd April).
