Harpenden Open Meet | Dancing and PB-ing!

Ryan Currell

Head coach Ryan wants the Codebreakers to celebrate the team’s success at the Harpenden Swimming Club Open Meet on the 7th and 8th October.

Only 6 swimmers entered the event at St. Albans, but they possibly produced the best success rate out of all the other teams. Of those 21 races we entered, 16 were Personal Bests, and 2 produced medals. That’s a 76% success rate! And to top it all off, we have some more County Qualifiers!

Head Coach said: “I think we have the perfect formula in producing top swimmers. We can see it in the results. We have to focus on getting more and more of our swimmers entering competitions and open meets. This is why the Committee and I have pushed hard this this season.”

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the event. We played games; analyzed up close with some of the best swimmers in the area; Coaches, Team Managers and Officials were spoilt for choice on food as part of their service in running the event; and to top it all off, all swim teams enjoyed dancing around during the warm-ups. Conga line around the pool anyone?
