Location

The open meet takes place in Saxon Pool and Leisure Centre, Saxon Drive, Biggleswade, SG18 8SU. There is free parking at the leisure centre, but this can get quite busy.  Additional parking can be found on Kingsfield Road, SG18 8AT which is a short walk from the leisure centre and there is also a Co-op and various food outlets nearby.

Timings

The leisure centre will not be open to swimmers or spectators until 12.30pm on both days, please wait outside until you are told to enter by
a member of the Flitwick Dolphins volunteer team.

  • Sessions 1 & 3
  • Start of warm up – 1.00pm
  • Racing start – 2.00pm
  • Sessions 2 & 4 (no earlier than)
  • Start of warm up – 5.00pm
  • Racing start – 6.00pm


Swimmers, coaches, and TMs please enter by the changing rooms, each team will have an allocated area (areas will be sign posted) so please keep to your designated location as much as possible.

Spectators

Entry to the spectator gallery is via the door in the café area and the following entry fee applies:

  • One session: £6.00
  • Whole day: £10.00
  • (Children under 16yrs are free of charge)


Payment by card or cash (please note that we had some issues with connection to the card machine so if you could have cash with you just
in case it would be a big help). The pool operator requires outdoor shoes to be removed before entering the pool area so please bring indoor shoes with you.

Spot Prizes

Listen out for the bell - winners of the lucky heats will win a mystery prize.

Swim shop

Rapid Swim shop will be set up in the spin studio in the reception area where you can shop from a large variety of swimming gear and
accessories.

Start lists and results will be posted online at the following site:

In the event of technical issues, hard copy results will be posted on the wall in the reception area and in the changing rooms for swimmers.

Foodbank donations

Our club captains are collecting non-perishable goods for our local foodbank – if you have any donations then please bring them along and
drop off at our entry desk.  Thank you!
