TO ALL SWIMMERS WHO HAVE BEEN INVITED TO THE CHILTERN LEAGUE ROUND 1

Bletchley and District SC are looking forward to compete at the Chiltern League Round 1 next Saturday 24th February 2024.  Selected swimmers, please arrive at the Aqua Vale Leisure Centre at the time shown below. Please sign in with Team Managers (Richard and Jo) in the main reception area.

 

IMPORTANT:

  • Location: Aqua Vale, Park Street, Aylesbury, HP20 1DX.
  • Arrive to check in at 3.30pm
  • Warm up starts at 4pm      
  • Competition starts at 4.30pm
  • Head Coach Ryan will confirm which events each swimmer will be racing in on the day.

 

SPECTATORS:

Spectator fees will be £4.  I suggest people ensure they have cash just in case there are credit card machine problems.

 

SWIMMERS WILL NEED:

  • Swimming costume
  • Flip flops or easy poolside shoes
  • Swim hat  
  • Goggles (and spare if you have them)
  • Team or plain black T-shirt to wear poolside and to wear whilst waiting for the swim
  • A zippy or hoody to wear if they get cold easily between races.
  • Two towels
  • Plenty of non-fizzy fluids (1 litre minimum)
  • Can bring food for energy, but no crisps/biscuits or anything that crumbs the floor and causes a mess please.

Swimmers are to let their Team Managers or coaches know where they are going, including for the toilet Swimmers are not to walk off over to see their parents as we don’t want you to miss your race! 

When the event is over, swimmers celebrate and may leave their Team Area once Team Managers / Head Coach say so.

 

PARKING:

Please click here to read details about parking.  It is free for 4 hours to park at Aquavale as long as there is a ticket in the windscreen (go into the building and you will find a small ticket machine at the main entrance desk).  It can get very busy so click here for information on other local car parks.  Please do not park behind the leisure centre or in the staff parking. You will receive a parking fine if you do.
 

 

REMINDERS:

No Glass items are to come poolside in any areas including the spectator gallery.

Swimmers & Teams are reminded that you cannot carry out land training/prep work in other parts of the centre i.e. near the fun pool, showers, mirror area etc.

Changing Room Policy – THERE IS ZERO TOLERANCE OF THE USE OF MOBILE PHONES AND DEVICES IN THE CHANGING ROOM AREA THIS INCLUDES WHERE THE MIRRORS AND HAIR DRYERS ARE LOCATED & APPLIES TO EVERYONE INCLUDING SPECTATORS.

All lockers must be locked, The centre will remove items from the lockers if they are left open. They take a £1 coin or a token.
