We exceeded ourselves

What a day it was for Bletchley & District Swimming Club at the Chiltern League 2024. In 2022 the team finished 7th. In 2023 the team finished 5th as finalists. This year, we finished....2nd! Wow!

The team, made of 26 swum with all their strength and spirit against the top clubs; Crowned winners - Leighton Buzzard, Linslade Crusaders, Flitwick Dolphins, Witney and District, and Bourne End. At no point did the club disappoint themselves, taking their share of many wins and top spots. It turns out, for half of the gala, the Codebreakers were holding on to top spot by 2 points! Turns out, throughout the gala, we did not slip to any place below 2nd. The event was becoming more and more nail biting and when it came to the overall results, we finished 2nd. Only 5 points behind 1st place Leighton Buzzard! (Talk about a final!!!).

Headcoach was over the moon; "My aim was for us to finish 4th overall. I didn't expect us to be coming home with Silverware! What a team we have!".

As Club Captains Beau and Orla came to collect their trophy, cheers and jubilations were made from all the club's supporters.

Throughout the week, our Club Captains will be visiting our training sessions, showing the trophy, and having talks with our swimmers.
