Dash Night 2 - 21/05/2024

Dear all,

Your swimmer has been sent an email to take part in our Club Dash night, either at Leon, or at Bletchley Leisure Centre next Tuesday 21st May.

 

For those invited to Leon Leisure Centre (Selected Academy Squad swimmers - check your emails)

ARRIVAL TO SIGN IN - 5:45pm.

Warm up 6pm.

Racing starts at 6:15pm.

FINISH TIME - Around 6:45pm.

 

For those invited to Bletchley Leisure Centre (Selected Academy Squad swimmers, Junior Squad, and Senior Squad - check your emails)

ARRIVAL TO SIGN IN – 6.35pm-6.45pm.

Warm up 7pm. 10 minutes for girls. 10 minutes for boys. They will be allocated their warm up lanes on the day.

Racing starts at 7:25pm. The final race should finish around 9pm.

Events are:

  1. Male 50m Breaststroke (Academy and Junior Squad only)
  2. Female 50m Breaststroke (Academy and Junior Squad only)
  3. Male 100m Breaststroke (Senior Squad only)
  4. Female 100m Breaststroke (Senior Squad only)
  5. Male 50m Butterfly (Academy and Junior Squad only)
  6. Female 50m Butterfly (Academy and Junior Squad only)
  7. Male 100m Butterfly (Senior Squad only)
  8. Female 100m Butterfly (Senior Squad only)


NB. The last dash night featured front crawl and backstroke, so this time it’s the other two main strokes! 

Club swimmers are to sit in the middle rows (See Map - Blue Seats) of the spectator’s area.  They will be sign posted. 

The front two rows of seats (See Map - Red Seats) will be used for whipping (where swimmers for each event are called to a specified area so that marshals can allocate heat positions.) They will also be sign posted.

SPECTATORS:

The back rows will be open for parents and guardians to watch (See map - Green Seats).

TO TAKE PART:

* IMPORTANT * PLEASE TICK “YES” or “ACCEPT” on the fixture via the club website or your On Deck app by the DEADLINE Sunday 19th May at 11pm.

 

IMPORTANT: Swimmers who turn up on the evening without confirming on the fixture will not be able to swim on the night.  

There will be no usual training session on Tuesday.  All 4 lanes will be used for the dash night to give swimmers a chance to race.
