Club Dash Night

Dear all,

Our autumn Club Dash Night will be held at Bletchley Leisure Centre next Tuesday 15th October 2024 at 6.35pm for all swimmers.There will be no normal training sessions at BLC or Leon on this date.

TIMETABLE:

 6.35pm - Registered participants arrive at Bletchley Leisure Centre for sign in - deadline 6:45pm.

7:10pm - Girls Warm up. 

7:20pm - Boys Warm up.

7:30pm – Races start (50m breaststroke and 50m freestyle for Academy and Junior Squads, 100m breaststroke  and 100m freestyle for Senior Squad swimmers).

Approximately 9:00pm -  Dash Night ends.

SEATING:

Club swimmers are to sit in the middle rows of the spectator's area.  They will be sign posted.  The front two rows of seats will be used for whipping (where swimmers for each event are called to a specified area so that marshals can allocate heat positions.) They will also be sign posted.

SPECTATORS:

The back rows will be free for parents and guardians to watch.

If any swimmers do not wish to participate and would like to watch, they are very welcome to come and cheer the others on.

HELP NEEDED PLEASE:

We rely on the support of volunteers to make these events possible. On the night, we will need help with the following tasks:

  • Timekeeping
  • Whipping (ordering swimmers for heats)
  • Judge
  • Starter
  • Data Entry
  • Team Manager/Chaperone

It’s good fun, helps the club and gets you down by the cool poolside next to the action.
