CMK Open Meet: Updated Information
Hi all,
For swimmers attending the CMK Bounce Back Open Meet this Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September 2025 at Bletchley Leisure Centre, MK2 2HQ.

On arrival – Please arrive in plenty of time to sign in 30 minutes before the warm-up time. This gives your child plenty of time to get changed, settled, complete their mobility and chat to their coach and peers and settle any pre-race nerves. (Parents are not allowed in the changing rooms at any time.)
SATURDAY session 1
Please arrive to sign in with Team Managers at 12:15 Warm up 12:45 Racing start time 13:50
SATURDAY session 2
Please arrive to sign in with Team Managers at 16:00 Warm up 16:25 Racing start time 17:25
SUNDAY session 3
Please arrive to sign in with Team Managers at 12:15 Warm up 12:45 Racing start time 13:50
SUNDAY session 4
Please arrive to sign in with Team Managers at 16:00 Warm up 16:25 Racing start time 17:15
Spectators fees are: *All day £10 (Over 65 £8) * 1 session £5 (over 65 £4) * Children under 16 – free.
Card and cash payments can be made for spectator entry and raffle prizes.
Meet mobile will be used for the programme and results. Electronic programme will be available to download from the CMKSC website.
Withdrawals : If you no longer wish your child to swim in an event or a session/day, please let your coach or Team Manager know in advance or email [email protected] by the evening of Friday 19th September. Withdrawals must made at least 50 minutes before the start, failure to withdraw correctly, may result in a fine! In the event of a cancellation on the day please message your coach or Helen Fixtures Secretary on 07759287206 as the fixtures email will not be monitored during the meets.
What does my swimmer need?
Swimmers should bring a small bag/drawstring bag poolside. They will need:
- Swimming costume
- Flip flops or easy poolside shoes
- Swim hat
- Goggles (and spare if you have them)
- Team or plain black T-shirt to wear poolside and to wear whilst waiting for the swim
- A zippy or hoody to wear if they get cold easily between races.
- Two towels
- Plenty of non-fizzy fluids (1 litre minimum)
- Can bring food for energy, but no crisps/biscuits or anything that crumbs the floor and causes a mess please.
- Swimmers can bring a small folding camping chair/stool to sit on or a towel to sit on.
- Swimmers are not allowed mobile phones/cameras poolside. If caught they may be omitted from the meet.
Swimmers are to let their Team Managers or coaches know where they are going, including for the toilet Swimmers are not to walk off over to see their parents as we don’t want you to miss your race!
If your child is swimming in more than one session, you will need to look after your child during the break between sessions – this then enables our volunteers to get a well-earned break themselves!
Swim Shop: A Swim Shop may be present on both days by the main entrance to the leisure centre.
Mobile Phones PLEASE NOTE:- Mobile phone use and all photography is banned in the changing areas Property of Neither the City of Milton Keynes Swim Club nor Bletchley Leisure Centre can be held Swimmers & responsible for loss or damage to spectators’ or competitors’ property. Competitors are advised to Spectators use the lockers in the changing room (£1 coin needed which is refundable). The changing rooms are a public area. Large swim bags will not be permitted on the poolside.
Swimmers will swim in heats according to their entry time – meaning they may be in a heat with a child that is older, bigger, or younger than them – this doesn’t mean they are “racing older swimmers” – it means they are seeded according to time. The results are published by age at the end of the event.
