Swans had another successful trip to the pool last weekend, this time to Newmarket for the Cambridgershire County Development Meet. We fielded a 36 swimmer strong squad over the 2 days with fierce competition from clubs such as Ely, Wisbech, Cambridge and Huntingdon to name but a few. As always, our swimmers did the Club proud bringing home 75 medals comprising of 34 Golds, 18 Silvers and 23 Bronze. And of course a bucket load of personal bests were achieved too. Well done to all our swimmers that attended the recent CMKSC Summer Open Meet. We had 35 swimmers racing 147 events over the course of the weekend. A massive medal haul was spread out over all our swimmers with 66 medals in total including 32 gold, 20 silvers and 14 bronze medals. A large number of first swim competitive swimmers raced and loads of personal best times were gained plus a few county qualifying times look to have been achieved for next year already. Swans swimmers raked in a huge medal and set a large number of personal best's (PBs) at a recent Open Meet. Hitchin Swimming Club hosted their Annual Open Meet at Borehamwood Swimming Pool on Sun 20 Jan 22 and 17 swimmers from St Neots Swans were there to represent their club taking part in 92 races. The end result? Fifty-Seven PBs were set (yes, you read that right - 57!). And our squad brought home 27 Gold medals, 25 Silvers and 11 Bronzes. A very long, but amazing, day in...
