It is with regret that we have to tell you that John Melotte, a previous Chairman of Teddington Swimming Club, has passed away. John was chair of Teddington Swimming Club from 2004 to 2006, and before taking on that role had been an active parent supporter and committee member since 1996, when his eldest daughter joined the club. He joined the Swim England London Regional Management Board in 2010. In 2012 John was appointed as Regional Chairman, a position he held until October 2014. Our thoughts are with his family...

The second weekend of the Middlesex Counties was no less exciting than the first for the Teddington swimmers. The distance training has clearly been very effective with two further medals in the 800m free – Billy B winning a silver and Phoebe C winning bronze. There were also some excellent fourth place swims from Tommy E, Thomas P, Bella M and Sarah P in this event. On Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th February a large cohort of Teddington swimmers battled the elements to make it to the London Aquatics Centre where they competed in the first weekend of the Middlesex County Championships. Swimmers had to achieve a tough qualification time to compete so everyone taking part should be proud of themselves. Every member of the team swam their hardest and there were some outstanding results.
