Arena League Round 2

Our swimmers were in action again in Round 2 of the Arena league on 9th November. We were once again racing at Sandwell Aquatics Centre, the venue that staged the swimming at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. 

We finished in third place overall on 251 points, with the event being won by City of Coventry A who amassed an impressive 342 points, and Blythe Barracudas second on 287 points. Newcastle Staffs were 4th with 228 points, Belper Marlin in 5th with 199 points, HINA in 6th, Solihull 7th, Boldmere Swimming and Water Polo Club 8th. 

We had 9 first place finishes - very well done to Georgie Pryor (200m i/m, 100m butterfly), Billy Smith (10/11yrs 50m backstroke), Jonah Hawksworth (10/11yrs 50m butterfly), Imogen Clark (100m breaststroke), Marija Romanovskaja (100m freestyle), 9-11yrs Open/Male 4 x 50m medley relay, and the female 4 x 50m Open medley and freestyle relays.

There were also 5 second place finishes, and 6 third place. 

Very well done to everyone who took part, the team support for each other was exceptional. 

Round Three will be on Saturday 14th December, warm up 6pm for 6.30pm start. We will be at Pingles Leisure Centre Nuneaton CV11 4LX where we will be competing against Solihull A, Bramcote, Braunstone, Walsall, Chase, Abingdon Vale and Sandwell Aquatics.
