Diddy League Success!
Congratulations to all our young swimmers who competed over the 3 rounds of the Diddy League (or to give it its full title the 'Notts and Derbyshire Junior Swimming League'. The third round took place on 7th June, with Derby Excel competing in gala 2 at Hucknall. We were up against Carlton Forum, Hucknall, Sutton, Dronfield and Chesterfield.
Derby Excel took the win with 166 points, an excellent result - with Sutton in second place on 150 points, Hucknall third on 131, joing 4th on 126 were Dronfield and Chesterfield, with Carlton only 3 points behind on 123 points.

I hope you all enjoyed the Junior League Gala last Saturday! It was fantastic to see our swimmers competing and being together as a team.
Although we faced some limitations, with only one 9-year-old boy, we were unable to compete in four events. However, we entered a team of three girls and one boy in the relays for experience and swam without scoring any points. I'm thrilled to share that our Team finished in first place, showing significant progress with a 58% improvement in faster times compared to Round 2 and a 68% improvement compared to Round 1.
There were some impressive swims and decisive wins, along with valuable lessons learned from the disqualifications.
