Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey Game

We have exciting news to share with you today. Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey Club have very kindly invited Derby Excel to attend their match against Nottingham Panthers on Saturday 29th November, to attend as a group.

They are offering tickets free of charge to our swimmers as well as any siblings aged up to 18, and then any swimmers over 18 and adults would also be discounted to just £13.50 each.

They've added this: A night at the Steelers guarantees constant excitement, plenty of crowd interaction and a fantastic atmosphere created by over 7000 fans per game, which we’d love for you to be a part of whilst cheering the team on. We’d also be sure to give you shout outs on the evening and do everything we can to make sure you have the best time possible with us. It should be a great experience and atmosphere, as these games are always full of excitement from both sides, particularly with both teams being local to the club.

The game itself is broken up into 3 periods of 20 minutes, but with stoppages etc it can last closer to 35 minutes per period, with two 15 minute intervals, so the evening should come to an end by around 9:30pm at the latest.

Food and drink is available within the arena itself, or there is a retail park opposite with a good selection of restaurants and fast food outlets if anyone is wanting to eat before or after.

Parking is available at the arena itself if required (located on Broughton Lane, S9 2DF for those using Sat-Nav). All we will need is for you to let us know how many tickets you want, and they'll be ready for collection on the night at the game. Swimmers should wear club kit to the game please.
