Derby Excel Win Arena League R2 in Nail-Biting Finish!

Our swimmers were in action at Moorways last night in the second round of the Arena league, with Derby Excel hosting the event. Eight teams competed on the night, and after 51 events, Derby Excel were tied on points with Redditch, both on 294 points. The result was decided on countback with Derby Excel having more wins over the evening, meaning we finished in first place! Huge congratulations to everyone who took part - every point won turned out to be crucial to getting us over the line! 

City of Oxford finished third on 257 points, witih Witney and District 4th on 237 points. Leicester Sharks were 5th, Long Eaton A 6th, Orion 7th and Solihull in 8th. 

The atmosphere was fantastic, and it was a great evening of swimming.

We sit in 5th place in the Premier Division, out of 24 teams. 

The third and final round will be at the Sandwell Aquatics Centre on Saturday 6th December, 6pm warm up, 6.30pm start.
