Derby Excel attend Sheffield Steelers Ice Hockey Game

Many thanks to ice hockey's Sheffield Steelers for inviting our swimmers to attend their match last night against Nottingham Panthers. They very kindly provided compliementary tickets for swimmers/siblings, and reduced prices for parents/carers. In all, over 80 club members attended the game at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield, and for many it was their first ice hockey game. Steelers gave our club a couple of 'shout outs' during the evening. 

 

It was a very entertaining match, with Steelers taking a 2-0 lead, before being pegged back to 2-2. Steelers then scored the winnner in sudden death.
