Many companies run match funding schemes, whereby the company will donate money to a charitable organisation such as ours, as recognition of fundraising and volunteering by their staff. 

So if you help out at one of our events, you could claim a charitable donation from the company you work for. 

A recent example of this was one of our parents, who works for Lloyds Bank. They helped raise money for Derby Excel by running the raffle at one of our Open meets, and was able to claim £500 for Derby Excel as a result. Because they also volunteer with us, this was recognised with a further £500 donation from Lloyds – ie £1000 in total. 

As well as this, staff can claim 'a day to make a difference'  and claim back a day's holiday for helping at a charity such as Derby Excel, as explained on this link:

Do you work for a company who also does this? Most banks and building societies do this, also supermarkets, insurance companies, utilities and car manufactuers. If so please do consider applying for matched funding.
