At DDSC, the welfare and safety of all our members—especially children and vulnerable adults—is our highest priority. We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where everyone can enjoy swimming and reach their full potential.
Our Commitment
- We follow the Swim England Wavepower safeguarding policies and procedures.
- We ensure all staff, coaches, and volunteers are DBS checked and receive appropriate safeguarding training.
- We promote a culture of openness, trust, and respect, where concerns can be raised without fear.
- We actively work to prevent bullying, discrimination, and abuse in any form.
Welfare Officer

Reporting Concerns
If you have any concerns about the welfare of a swimmer or the conduct of a club member, please contact the Welfare Officer or use Swim England’s reporting procedures. All concerns will be taken seriously and handled in line with safeguarding best practices.
