Competition update

We're pleased to announce that we have been accepted into a local swimming league, the Pentagon League.  This will see us taking part in galas five times a year alongside four other local clubs, offering our swimmers the regular opportunities in competitions we have been working hard to find.  The other clubs in the league are:

  • Wimbledon Dolphins
  • Battersea Jacks
  • Streatham 
  • Merton Swordfish 

The league was suspended during covid and is yet to confirm a date for it's resumption.  Previously they ran four galas in the first half of the year and then a fifth after the summer holidays, so it is likely that the league won't start again until 2022.  

With that in mind, we are still looking into how we offer our swimmers competition opportunities this year.  We are aiming to be able to arrange something with a couple of local clubs for later this year and we will be talking to prospective clubs over the coming weeks.  We will however be organising an internal club championship at some point in October (date TBC) so our swimmers can gain experience of swimming in a gala environment.
