Repton Swimming - International selections

Repton Swimming are delighted to annouce 7 international selections for the Summer of 2025. Following a highly successful Aquatics GB Championships in April, where 31 swimmers represented Repton in the pinnacle of the domestic swimming calendar, swimmers have been rewarded with the pinnacle of sporting achievement in international selection.

Congratulations to all those who have been selected - we are incredibly proud to see your achievements and dedication to the sport recognised in this way.

 

Eva Okaro and Jacob Mills - Great Britain Aquatics: World Swimming Championships, Singapore

Eva is selected for her first Senior World Championships on the back of a remarkable 2024, which included making the Olympic Final in Paris 2024 with the Team GB Womens 4x100 Freestyle relay team and breaking the World Junior SC 50m Freestyle record in December. Having just completed her A Levels at Repton School this Summer, these achievements are quite something and as the current British Champion in the Womens' 50m Freestyle, Eva has much to offer the senior team.

Jacob makes his senior international debut in Singapore, aged just 17. A multi-capped junior international, Jacob was selected for his first senior team following his 2nd place finishes in the 50m and 100m freestyle events in the British Championships, behind Ben Proud and Mat Richards respectively. Jacob returns for his U6th year at Repton School in September as a multiple British Record holder.

 

Hannah Capron and Harry Milne - Great Britain Juniors: European Junior Championships

This will be Hannah's first appearance at GB international level, following a strong British Championships in April. Hannah is a British Age Group Record Holder in the 50m SC Freestyle and will race this event as well as the relays in the EJ Champs, all n the back of a busy Summer of GCSE exams at Repton School!

Harry makes his GB debut having already represented Wales over the last year. Harry is the current and returning Boys' Captain at Repton, having joined the school in year ten. A versitile swimmer, Harry will race in the freestyle and relay events in the EJ Championships.

 

Lydia Cordle and Austyn Manley - European Youth Olympic Festival, North Macedonia

Lydia has been swimming at Repton since the age of 9 and makes her GB debut in this event. Having been a finalist at national level from the age of 12, she has a wealth of experience to draw on as she enters the biggest of stages.

Austyn joined Repton as a 13 year old and has gone from strength to strength. One of the youngest junior finalists at this year's Aquatics GB Championships, Austyn is now a multiple British Age Group Record Holder, so heads to the EYOF event with lots of positive experiences under his belt.

 

Jacob Mills and Harry Milne - World Junior Swimming Championships, Romania

Jacob and Harry, both having just completed thier L6th at Repton, head to Romania in late August for this major event as part of a British Team. They both have a huge amount of major competition this Summer and this event will be amongst the best of them!

 

Craig Prime, Performance Coach - European Youth Olympic Festival, North Macedonia

Craig has completed thrree years at Repton as our Performance Coach and we are delighted his efforts and skills have been recognised with an invitation to join Team GB as a Coach at the European Youth Olympic Festival. As a coach to Lydia and Austyn in recent times, we are pleased he will now be able to work with them on the international stage!
