Jamie Main Director of Swimming
Jamie joined Repton in January 2025 from his previous position as the National Coach at The Aquatics GB Bath National Performance Centre, having coached senior GB international teams and athletes at The 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, The World Aquatic Championships 2023 in Japan, and The Commonwealth Games 2022 in Birmingham.
 
Jamie brings an unparalleled level of expertise and experience to Repton’s programme having developed both junior and senior international swimmers across all strokes and disciplines to international honours, including 16-year-old Jacob Whittle to the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo and guiding Kieran Bird to Olympic Gold as part of the 4x200m Freestyle relay team in Paris. Previous to his recent role at The Bath National Performance Centre, Jamie spent a number of years leading age group and youth programmes in this area.
 
Jamie leads and coaches our Elite Squad on a daily basis at Repton.
Ian Pollock Chair

Ian led the project to initiate Repton Swimming from its point of inception in November 2019 and as the principal officer of the club is responsible for leading the committee and governance standards, the club's interface with Repton School and supporting the coaching team with the operational side of the club. With over 20 years experience as a PE Teacher, Ian is now an Assistant Head at Repton School, responsible for all elements of the co-curricular programme. He was previously Repton's Director of Sport, during which time Repton was ranked in the country's top three independent schools for sport. During that time, Ian oversaw all aspects of the school's sporting strategy and provision, from the participation level to those working at a high performance standard in all sports and now also delivers Team Manager training for East Midlands Swimming.

Craig Prime Assistant Director of Swimming

Craig joined Repton Swimming initially as our Performance Coach in September 2022, before progressing to his current position of Assistant Directorof Swimming and is a UKCC Level 3 Senior Coach. Craig has been involved in swimming coaching for over 15 years, with the ten years before joining Repton as Head Coach of Wrexham Swimming Club in North Wales. In recent times Craig has coached our age group swimmers to multiple regional and national successes, including swimmers from his squads becoming British medallists, national age group record holders and in 2025 to the European Youth Olympic Festival selection. Craig was also selected as  Coach for Team GB at European Youth Olympic Festival in 2025. Away from the pooolside, Craig leads on many of the club's operational procedures, including our licensed meets. 

Craig is responsible for our Performance Age Squad at Repton.

Marcus Birmingham Performance Coach

Marcus joined Repton Swimming in Septermber 2022 as our Graduate Assistant Coach and was promoted to Assistant Performance Coach in August 2023, before becoming our current Performance Coach in August 2025. 

Previously, Marcus studied a Masters degree in Sports Science at The University of Birmingham. While coaching their University Squad, he gained valuable coaching knowledge and experience - working with National and International Swimmers. Most notably at Repton, Marcus assisted Megan Neave to the Paris Paralympic Games - and was able to visit as part of a coaching inspiration program. 

Marcus works across the Performance Pathway within Repton Swimming and leads on our National Performance Squad - whilst supporting the Senior Pro, High Performance and Performance Youth squads. He currently is continuing his education at Birmingham City University - undertaking a Professional Doctorate in Sport.

Paul Stanley Head of Development

Paul began his career as a Junior Coach with Chase Swimming Club in Staffordshire, before becoming a Performance Pathway Coach with City of Peterborough Swimming Club and then Lead Development Coach at Hamilton Aquatics. Paul joined Repton as Head of Development in August 2023, where he is the lead coach for both the Performance Potential and Junior Development groups, in addition to ensuring a smooth transition between the Learn 2 Swim and next stages in the pathway. Paul is responsible for the planning, delivery and management of all swimmers in the club’s Development Pathway and his philosophy is driven by the desire to put the key building blocks in place and create an environment for long term swimming success.

Katie Taylor Assistant Coach

Katie began working her way through the Swim England qualifications via her Learn 2 Swim teaching and volunteer coaching at both Repton and Ashbourne SC. At Repton, Katie supports the whole programme, all swimmers and the coaching team. Working closely with and being mentored by our performance coaches, Katie works with our Junior Club and Senior Club squads regularly. 

Richard Pilcher Assistant Coach

 

Richard joined Repton Swimming in January 2020, initially to oversee our Development Pathway at its launch. Richard now works across a number of squads but primarily still our younger groups. A qualified and full time PE Teacher, Richard has a background of over 20 years experience in club swimming across the full ability range, including leading teams for Junior League and Arena League Finals and at a previous club was Assistant Head Coach to Olympic medal winning coach Mel Marshall.

Jen Dales Administration Officer

Jen joined Repton in 2024 from a school based setting to oversee all aspects of the club's administration. Jen is the first point of contact in the club for enquiries about payments, membership and trials, as well as the support she offers at meets and events.

Lizzy Butler-Clack Strength and Conditioning Lead

Whilst completing an internship at Team Hallam during her final year of her undergraduate degree at Sheffield Hallam University, Lizzy found a passion for coaching and athletic development. This inspired Lizzy to continue her studies and she completed a Master’s Degree in Strength & Conditioning Coaching the following year.

Lizzy gained a wealth of experience working with school based youth performance athletes when completing a graduate role, working with a variety of sports including Hockey, Athletics and Fencing. Alongside this role, she also worked with Wales Lacrosse as the lead Strength & Conditioning coach for the Women’s U19 team.

Lizzy coaches our Performance Pathway swimmers throughout the week and supports the swimmers and coaching team with at all major competitions.
