Norwich Easter Meet Review
Over the Easter weekend, 36 members of Repton Swimming travelled to Norwich to compete at the City of Norwich Level 1 Easter Long Course Meet. For many this meet was their first meet as part of a club trip, their first 3-day meet, and their first time in Norwich - all which adds new challenges and learning opportunities for our swimmers.
The team rose to the challenges and achieved an impressive 56 individual finals, in addition to 20 Gold Medals, 10 Silver Medals and 21 Bronze Medals across multiple events and age groups. Repton were runners up in the team points standing, and 12yr old Lydia Cordle won top female swimmer of the meet after winning 7 Gold Medals and 2 Bronze Medals.
Repton Swimming Performance Coach, Craig Prime, who was Lead Coach for the meet said "All the swimmers handled the environment, competition and challenges very professionally and did themselves and the club proud - with many securing new lifetime best times ahead of the Summer's National Championships. This meet was an important one for our swimmers to develop the skills that will support their long term swimming successes".
Next in the competition calendar, Repton Swimming have the East Midland Regional Championships in late April and May.
The results from the Norwich meet are available on the Meet Mobile app only.
