This week Holly Marshall (Wales), Laurie Devine (Scotland) and Hannah Bowley (England) will represent their countries at the Commonwealth Youth Games.

 

The Commonwealth Youth Games are hosted every four years, across all sports and involve all countries within the Commonwealth. This year the Games will be hosted in Trinidad & Tobago, with the swimming taking place between 6th-9th August 2023.

 

Holly Marshall (Y12) will represent Wales in the 200m Butterfly, 200m Backstroke, 400m IM and Relay events. Laurie Devine (Y12) will represent Scotland in the 50m Freestyle, 100m Freestyle and Relay events. Hannah Bowley (Y13) will represent England in the 50m Breaststroke, 100m Breaststroke and 200m Breaststroke events.

 

Director of Swimming, Ash Morris wished the girls good luck; “Our girls are representing their home nations for the first time and it is a really exciting event that they can be proud of competing in. Whilst they may be representing their country during the competition, they will all also be representing Repton and I can speak for the whole of the club in wishing them good luck!”
