Regional Squads Christmas Social 2019

Regional 1 & 2 Squads met at Sprinkles on Tuesday night for their Christmas social night. It was a chance for a get-together, to indulge in ice cream and waffles, share Secret Santa gifts and to thank their coaches for their heroic support and help since September.

The event was brilliantly organised by Squad Coordinator Michelle, who also put her logistics skills to full use, organising a mammoth Secret Santa event, involving two enormous red sacks full of gifts. 

Coach Chris – never one to miss out on a nutrition-free sweet treat – was seen sporting an elf hat as he tucked into his giant apple crumble and custard! 

Coach Sean, who has been so helpful to our swimmers this term, was also present and both received gifts as thanks for all their hard work. 

Rachel helped Chris distribute all the gifts at top speed and Molly was super efficient, uniting swimmers with their correct supersized desserts and corralling everyone for photos. 

Parents, too, enjoyed a catchup and tucked into a few puddings as well. 

Ever-committed, the squads were both at early morning training on Wednesday, although perhaps not on top of their game and very grateful it wasn’t a drop-out set!
