Super Coach Jan Earns First International Coaching Position

Jan Hutchings, our super dedicated and hardworking coach at Poole Swimming Club, has achieved a significant milestone in her coaching career. The club is filled with pride as Jan receives her first-ever international coaching call-up to represent Swim England.

Having served Poole Swimming Club for an impressive 15 years, Jan has become an integral part of the team, demonstrating her exceptional skills and unwavering commitment. Throughout her tenure, she has meticulously worked with numerous swimmers, both at the club level and within the Swim England Talent Pathway.

Jan's unparalleled dedication and conscientious approach have not only contributed to the success of the club but have also caught the attention of Swim England. As a result, Jan has been selected to coach the Swim England Team, which will be heading to Sweden in March.

In Sweden, Jan will be responsible for guiding and mentoring a group of youth swimmers between the ages of 16 and 18. This opportunity comes with immense support for athletes from Swim England, including access to Sports Science expertise and coaching prowess. The athletes Jan will be coaching are preparing for an important meet, which could serve as their final stepping stone to qualify for international teams in the upcoming British Swimming Championships in April.
