• 2nd Round of Cotswolds League: 🚀 Saturday, 1st March (Swimmers selected by Yeovil to take part)
• Trident Fun Gala: 🎉 Sunday, 2nd March (Everyone should attend as it helps support club running costs!)
• TDSC Regional Qualifier: 🏆 Saturday, 22nd and Sunday, 23rd March
• Yeovil Meet: 🥇 Saturday, 29th and Sunday, 30th March

🎉 Big News: 22 Trident swimmers will represent our club at the Somerset County Championships! 🥳 This is an incredible achievement—huge kudos to our dedicated swimmers!

To qualify for the Somerset Counties, swimmers must meet the ASA Somerset time requirements. Let’s keep training hard and cheer on our team! 💪

📝 March 2025 AGM Meeting: We’ll be sending out the official AGM date soon! During this meeting, we’ll elect officers and committee members, including:

💸 Financial Success: Thanks to our fun galas, cake sales, and annual membership fees, we ended 2024 on a better financial footing than expected. We broke even—proof that everyone’s contributions count! Let’s keep the momentum going! 🙌

🚨 Parent Volunteers Wanted: Help support our coaching team by volunteering as timekeepers or team managers during meets! Many hands make light work! 👐

🏅 Swimmer of the Month: We’re bringing it back! This award celebrates outstanding dedication, improvement, and sportsmanship. Who will take home the honor? Stay tuned!

🤝 Elite Training Collaboration: Our elite swimmers are training with the Masters in Yeovil on Tuesday evenings at Crewkerne—an incredible chance to grow alongside experienced athletes.

👩‍💼 Message from the Chair

“When I took over as Chair this summer, one of my main goals was to make our club one that others love to collaborate with. Thanks to Megan, Kelly, and James’ networking, we’ve built fantastic partnerships and created more opportunities for Trident swimmers. I’m proud to say we’re achieving this!

Another key goal was strengthening our coaching team by providing them with chances to attend coaching days and learn from experienced coaches. A huge shoutout to Malcolm and Ben Greenslade for their invaluable support in offering technique tips and club advice.

For 2025, we’re selecting young volunteers to start their Level 1 coaching qualifications—adding even more value to our team and mentoring the next generation! And looking ahead to 2026, I hope to field a full Cotswolds League team that showcases our club’s strength and unity!

🎖️ Learn to Train Speed Trials: Exciting speed trials are being organised! Swimmers will record their best times and receive a certificate—more details soon!

📝 Important Information

💬 Women's Health Discussions: Over the next two weeks, team captains and coaches will discuss women’s health topics, focusing on swimming during periods and staying comfortable and confident. Swim England resources will be available for additional support.

📝 Attendance & Safeguarding: A strict warm-up and cool-down policy is now in place, led by the team captains. Attendance will be recorded for safeguarding.

💖 Flamingo Pool Fundraiser: Our Flamingo Pool fundraising event will start soon—your participation helps support both the club and the pool. Let’s make a splash for a great cause!
