Laurence Mills - Head Coach 

Laurence Mills is the Bedford swim squad Head coach and has a wealth of experience working with Age Group & Youth athletes over the last 14 years. Before Joining Bedford swim squad, Laurence worked in Canada where he was the Assistant Head Coach at Markham Aquatic Club, a leading performance programme with just North of Toronto, Ontario. Laurence has also Worked in Age group coaching Roles at the City of Leicester & Bolton Metro where he worked with a wide range of swimmers that had numerous successes at county, Regional and National Level.

Jack Sangster - Assistant Head Coach 

Jack is a former Bedford swimmer back when it was Modernian swimming club, competing to County, Regional and National Standard. He has a great enthusiasm for the sport and keeps his sessions challenging and fun. He took on the new role of Assistant head coach in April 2023 and has made a huge impact since starting. He prodimently works with Age group perfromance 1 and Academy groups but touches base with alomst every swimmer in the club throughout his week. Jack also manages the squads Junior league team and social media.

Ian Little - Squad Coach 

Ian has been a fixture on our coaching team for a number of years and does this role alongside his full time job as a Head teacher. He mainly works with our Academy and AGP 1 groups and brings bags of energy and encouragement onto poolside for his sessions. Ian has a keen eye for technical skills and always manages to squeeze the best out of his swimmers during training. Ian was a former swimmer himself racing the 50 and 100 freestyle to national standard.
