Cheslea & Westminster SC + Millfild School 2023-2024 Arena Swim Series

Dear Coaches, Team Managers & Meet Secretaries,
When entering into the joint venture of the Arena Swim Series with Millfield School we both had an aligned vision - to provide back to back race opportunities with a format that would be conducive in allowing the swimmers to excel throughout the day (with ample recovery). Our first two swim series excelled - The 'October International' and the 'Grand Prix' at the start of the National window. We thank you very much for supporting us to date and can confirm that both of these meets will return next year with further improvements based on feedback from your loyal selves.
Unfortunately we have had to sadly conclude that our National preparation meet is going to have to be cancelled and will no longer be on the series calendar moving forwards. Despite extending the deadline, participant uptake was extremely low and therefore the meet would not be performance, cost or resource effective. This year is a 'years first' for us in hosting competitions that are open to the Nation (and beyond) - it has been very much a learning experience. We can only surmise that participant uptake was low due to the competition being outside of the National window and during the exam period.
We are sincerely sorry to any competitors that this immediately displaces and we very much hope that this does not deter you away from returning to the other Arena Swim Series meets in the 2024-2025 season.
