If you are concerned about your swimmer, please talk to the coach by speaking to them before or after the session or, if that is not possible, by making an appointment. Please remember not to go on to poolside as this could be a welfare risk. Coaches contact details can be found on our website here.
You can also contact one of our two independent Welfare Officers on a confidential basis. Our Welfare Officers are:
Tomas Vanderick who can be contacted at [email protected]; and
Meriem Amarouche who can be contacted at [email protected].
Both have specific training for those who have a designated role in safeguarding within sports and both can deal with any issue relating to safeguarding and welfare. You can find out more about the role of a Welfare Officer on our website at Club Policies, Safeguarding.
Other contacts at Swim England and Middlesex County can be found on Swim England’s safeguarding page here. You can also use Swim England’s Report A Concern page which also has NSPCC contacts details if your concern is urgent and about a child at risk.
CWSC’s welfare policies reflect Swim England’s safeguarding guidelines in Wavepower and Swim England London Region’s Safeguarding Aquatics for Everyone “S.A.F.E.”. As a SwimMark Accredited Club, all of our coaches are DBS checked and trained in safeguarding.
