About Us

Retford Swimming Club is one of Nottinghamshire's premier swimming clubs. We are a competitive club that also caters for a range of abilities from beginners, swimmers for fitness, to masters and competitive swimmers. The club has been in existence for over 100 years, providing facilities for the people of Retford and the surrounding areas. The club is committed to teaching, coaching, promoting and encouraging competitive swimming. Current membership exceeds 200 people of all ages.

Other Information

The work of the club has been acknowledged at National Level and the club has achieved the government sponsored Sport England Clubmark accreditation which signifies the club's commitment to being a safe, effective and child friendly sports club. The club is also accredited as a Swim21 Teaching club (Swim 21 is the ASA charter mark of quality). The club meets 4 times per week at Retford Leisure Centre. The club provides a high level of teaching and coaching for swimmers of all ages and abilities. The club also supports persons wishing to become swimming coaches or teachers, and those wishing to qualify as ASA registered Officials. Parental involvement in all aspects of the club is high and plays an important part in the club structure.
