Celebration Evening

A great big thanks to EVERYONE who made Saturday’s Celebration Evening go so well.

Thank you to those who turned up early to put out all those tables and chairs; to those who blew balloons; to those who carried trophy boxes; and to those who covered tables.

Thank you to those who ran the fundraising and to those who donated prizes and then spent money.

Thank you all for bringing such lovely food – beautifully presented, quickly consumed; including the wonderfully themed cake.

Thank you to all of you that helped clear up and indeed just did things throughout the night when you saw it needed doing.

Thank you to those who organised the engraving of all those trophies.

Thank you to the on stage team presenting the swimmers with their medals and achievement certificates.

Thank you to Kimberly, presenting on the stage, who’s voice must have been ragged for days afterwards as she read out the achievements of every single competitive swimmer in the club.

And thank you to whoever did all that laminating of certificates. Who was that anyway??

It was a great evening;  for those of you who could not make it, we really hope you will come to next year’s event.

In addition -

It is not about the fundraising, but just to let you know the tombola, the raffle and the 100 square raised just over £750 on the night. This helps enormously toward the costs of running this event. If you want to know more detail about how much it actually cost - come to the AGM, (Thursday 21 November 2024).
