A new challenge for Masters - Decathlon Cup

A New Challenge 
There is a new cup available for Stowmarket Masters to aim for during 2025. 
It is called the Masters Decathlon Cup and is based from results obtained from swimming at Masters competitions.
SwimEngland count a master swimmer to be a person swimming from the age of 25 years old.

The aim of the cup is to inspire Stowmarket Masters to raise the profile of the club Nationally.
 
During 2024 Stowmarket men finished 99 th / 480 in the UK ( Top 4 swimmers from the club counted ) ( Newmarket were 77 th )
Stowmarket ladies finished 273rd / 422 ( Only one female swimmer over 25 years competed for us ) ( Hadleigh and Sudbury were 116th , Deben 121st, Newmarket 156th, Ipswich 170th, West Suffolk 185 th all who had 4 swimmers count in their final totals )
 
Decathlon Points
Decathlon points are set as follows;
The top score in each of the following six stroke groups;
1) 50m, 100m and 200m front crawl
2) 400m, 800m and 1500m front crawl
3) backstroke
4) breaststroke
5) butterfly
6) individual medley
And your second highest score from 4 of the above swims.
