Suffolk League: Round One

On a sunny Saturday in April, Stowmarket’s superstar swimmers zoomed up the A14, ready for Round 1 of the Suffolk County League in Newmarket!

The competition was fierce, with brilliant swimmers from across the county diving in. Stowmarket split into two awesome teams — Stowmarket Gold and Stowmarket Blue — and took on teams from Newmarket and West Suffolk.

Meanwhile, Deben, Waveney Green, Waveney Yellow, and Leiston were racing their hearts out at the Leiston pool. All eight teams’ scores were combined into one big virtual gala — the race was on!

There were amazing races, massive PBs, and big cheers from the poolside. Everyone gave it their all, and it was incredible to watch.

Stowmarket Gold are currently top of the league, but it’s incredibly close, with Newmarket and Deben just a few points behind. Round 2 is going to be very exciting!
