Thank you to everyone who made our novice meet a success

A big thank you to everyone who made our very first Stowmarket Seals Novice Meet such a success!

Firstly, a huge congratulations to all the swimmers – especially those competing for the very first time. It takes courage to get up on the blocks, and we’re all so proud of you. We hope you enjoyed the experience and are excited for what comes next!

Thank to the teams from Ipswich, Stanway, Diss, Felixstowe and Hadleigh who came to Stowmarket. 

A massive thank you to all the volunteers who stepped up to run the meet, especially:

*Our incredible team managers, marshals, and runners worked tirelessly behind the scenes, keeping swimmers organised and on time – your dedication made the meet a real success!

* Our older swimmers who gave up their Saturday to help: Annabel, Bella, Edward, Erin, Harrison, Phoebe, Rex, Vaughn and Verity – you were brilliant role models. As well as Eliza at 7yrs old, our youngest volunteer!

*The officials who came to ensure the meet ran fairly – many of whom did not have swimmers in the pool but still gave up their Saturday afternoons to support the event. Without them, the event wouldn’t have been possible – we are truly grateful.

Thanks also to the volunteers who looked after the door, raffle, and medal table, our announcer (who also designed our certificates!), and our equipment and timing team in the corner. 

A huge thank you to all our coaches, who dedicate their time and energy throughout the year. You’re there at every swim, supporting our swimmers and helping them grow into even better – and more awesome – swimmers.

We are very appreciative of the parents and spectators from Stowmarket, who waited patiently in the café while we seated all our guests – allowing us to place Stowmarket parents in the slightly more awkward spaces, which made a real difference.

Lastly, a pre-emptive thank you to the volunteers who will put all the equipment away in the morning!

It was a true team effort, and we couldn’t have done it without you all!
