Our Club Values 
 

The City of Wakefield Swimming Club is a SwimMark-accredited, competitive swimming club affiliated to the Yorkshire Swimming Association and Swim England North East Region.

We provide quality and effective coaching in a safe, friendly and caring environment, and a squad structure designed to motivate and inspire swimmers of all ages to reach their full potential within the sport.

Our athletes train at the excellent Sun Lane Leisure Centre in Wakefield, Aspire at the Park in Pontefract and also at Normanton swimming pool. They are coached to compete at Swimming Meets at all levels of ability, including Local, County, Regional and National competitions. The Club also competes in the ‘Barnsley Minors League’, which gives many of our athletes the valuable opportunity to swim competitively as part of a team.

At the City of Wakefield Swimming Club, safeguarding our members is paramount and we follow ‘Wavepower’, Swim England’s Safeguarding Policy and Procedures document. As a club, we are fully committed to developing all our athletes, whilst ensuring we keep them safe along the way.
