This month one of our amazing club swimmers Matthew Menzer has been competing in the Swim England National Championships after qualifying at the regional event last month! He swam a huge 7.5km to finish in a fantastic personal best time of 1hr 41 mins and 26 secs. The club are so very proud of this phenomenal achievement! Well done Matthew!

Our super talented club swimmer Naomi Broadley recently competed at the Aquatics GB Next Gen championships at Ponds Forge. She qualified for the 400IM and swam an amazingly strong performance that saw her with a well earned new PB and 12th overall in her age category against some of the best swimmers in the country which is a phenomanal performance!! As a club we are so very proud of these amazing acheivements! Well done Naomi.

A huge congratulations to two of our exceptionally talented swimmers. Naomi Broadley who has qualified for British and English Summer Championships and Rose Keefe who has qualified for English Summer Champs. Both girls have worked so hard in the qualifying window to earn the right to swim with some of the best swimmers in the country. The first batch of Winter Yorkshires has wrapped up, bringing plenty of positives to kick-start the season. Representing City of Wakefield, we had 27 swimmers competing in 134 races, bringing plenty of opportunities to kick-start the season. The trio of Keefe swimmers—Rose, Aimee, and Emilia—continued their strong starts. Rose showcased her form with two top-10 finishes and several personal bests after a challenging year. City of Wakefields Beth Jordan achieved great success at last weekends "Swim England Masters National Championships (25m)" which took place at Ponds Forge International Sport Centre in Sheffield. The Swim England Masters National Championships is the highlight of the national Masters short course calendar. Competition is always fierce for medals in every age group at the Championships, with multiple British, European and World record broken each year. February became a bit of a milstone for the club this year, with a record number of entries to the Yorkshire Swimming Championships. Our club proudly sent 30 swimmers to compete in 151 events over the course of three weekends, pitting themselves against the finest athletes in Yorkshire.
