New Season, New Standards
As the start of the new season approaches, the opportunity arises to sit down and evaluate the positive moments of the previous season, as well as the various things we can improve going forwards into the next.
With that in mind, the following preseason meetings have been arranged, taking place of normal training session on squad’s meeting evening:
Calibre & Swim Skills A: Tue 6th Sept, 6pm- 9pm (3hrs), Aspire @ the park
Swim Skills B & Squaddies: Wed 7th Sept, 6-7:30pm (1.5hrs, Sun Lane.
Squids athletes are not required to attend the preseason meetings and their training will commence as normal.
Preseason meetings are a requirement for all athletes, and the main opportunity to attend these are listed above.
For anyone unable to attend the meetings, there will be a slight delay in your training recommencement, however we intended to provide opportunities for meeting reruns later in the week.
With the athlete meetings now cleared up, we move onto a great opportunity for all of our parents - a presentation by former Olympic coach Russ Barber.
Russ will be joining us on Tuesday 13th September to run through ‘Pathway to success - A parents guide’. The aim of the presentation will be to highlight your role as a parent to enable your athlete to achieve big throughout their swimming career.
This will be delivered twice in the same evening, one commencing @ 7pm and one commencing at 8pm.
With all that being said, enjoy the last week of downtime before the chaos kicks in once again!
