Introducing the Brixham SC Welfare Officer – Dave Sherfield
I am the appointed Welfare Officer for the Brixham Swimming Club.
My position within the club structure is to act as an independent person having responsibility for ensuring the relevant safeguarding and welfare policies set out by Swim England are adhered to.
Please note that, although the welfare officer is invited to attend club committee meetings, the purpose of the role is to protect the interests of the members.
I am in a position to respond as a first point of contact for members and parents / guardians of members who have safeguarding concerns.
I assure you that if you feel the need to contact me, you will be listened to, and any concerns will be addressed and where appropriate escalated and reported to Swim England Safeguarding Team.
