Hi, my name is Kevin Dart & I am a Swim England Level 3 coach & the Head Coach here at Brixham Swimming Club 'The Marlins'
I swam for Brixham growing up, competing at National level from ages 11 - 17. I have fond memories of these times as our club enjoyed huge successes throughout the West Country & produced some National Age Group finalists. My goal is to create an environment where our young (& not so young... as we have a Masters squad) people can come & enjoy their time with friends. I guarantee, if they stick with it long enough, they will make some new ones! Swimmers need to be willing to challenge themselves, be open minded to learning new skills & ultimately, I feel our amazing team can help them become more accomplished swimmers & better human beings.

I have been coaching voluntarily for 'The Brixham Marlins' for 10 years. I am a qualified Swim England Level 2 Swim Coach & Level 2 Open Water Coach. 
I swam competitivley for Brixham competing in many competitions & reaching county, reigonal & national level, also representing Devon too! I regularly help coach Red, Amber & Green Squads & enjoy seeing swimmers improve & get faster. I still compete in local galas, training regularly with the Gold Squad & I enjoy sea swimming.
I have a Sport & Exercise Science Degree & I am a qualified PE teacher. I am a qualified J1 official & Team Manager & spend many weekends supporting 'Brixham Marlins' on poolside as coach or an official at competitions. Currently I am gaining hours towards my J2 officials qualification so I can support the club at competitions.

I have back coaching voluntarily for 'The Brixham Marlins' for nearly 5 years now. I regularly coach Orange, Red & Amber Squads.
I really enjoy seeing the swimmers enter the club in Orange Squad where they improve their stroke technique & progress up through the squads. It's great to see so many new swimmers join the club recently & do well at galas! When I was younger, I swam competitvely for Brixham, reaching county, regional & national level, I also represented Torbay & Devon. I try to swim regularly & I enjoy sea swimming (in the warmer months!) I have a degree in Sports Education & I am a qualified PE teacher. I have previously coached a senior school team in Qatar where they competed in competitions in Oman & Cairo.
I am a qualified Level 2 Swimming Teacher & have recently completed my Swim England Assistant Swimming Coach qualifications.
