Devon County Championships (final weekend)
Saturday 5th & Sunday 6th February saw the final weekend of the Devon County Championships. It did not disappoint for BSC. 8 Brixham Marlins competed over the 2 days ( John, Aela, Eva, Scarlett, Austin, Bradley, Frankie & Owen). Competition was high & each swimmer rose to the challenge, showing grit & determination and lots of PB's!
Finalists were:
Scarlett 100m backstroke (8th)
Aela 50m butterfly (7th)
Eva 100m backstroke (6th) 50m freestyle (5th)
Frankie 100m breaststroke (8th)
A bronze medal to John in the 100m breaststroke final was the perfect way to end the championships! Congratulations John!
Many thanks to our Coaches, Team Managers & parents for giving up their time to support our young swimmers. A special mention & big thank you to Al Farquharson for officiating during the championships. Officials are all unpaid volunteers & the unsung heroes of all swimming meets. Without them none of these events would go ahead.
