Dartmoor Sprint Meet 2022

What a fantastic day of swimming for the 20 swimmers that took part in today's sprint gala. The gala was split over two sessions with the 8/9, 11 and 13 year olds swimming in the morning session, followed by the 10, 12 and 14 year olds in the afternoon. All ages could compete in 50m freestyle, butterfly, breastroke and backstroke, plus the 100m Individual Medley.

 

For many of today's swimmers this was their first real gala and we are so incredibly proud of each and every one of them! There were numerous PBs across all events and many medals awarded to our swimmers. The hard-work in training is paying off and we can't wait to see them eager to smash their PBs at the next gala!

 

It was great to see so many supporters cheering the Marlins on. If there was a prize for the most enthusiastic supporters, Brixham would have claimed it. Apologies to anyone sitting near us...

 

A huge thank you to the adults who transported their young swimmers, and to the coaches, team managers and officials who gave up their time to make sure the gala ran smoothly.
