There are a number of different ways to work as part of our team, some paid and some volunteer roles across the club.
Volunteering
What ever volunteer role you are interested in coach, poolside helper, being part of our committee, helping run our meets (Team Managers, Officials, other Meet Makers roles) and many other admin / adhoc roles your time is valued and forms an integral part of our team.

When we have paid coaching roles we will advertise them here and via adverts on websites like Careers in acquatics. If there are no listings showing at the current time but you are interested in working with us please contact our Head coaches on either the swimming or diving arms of the club.

DIVING COACH
Amersham Diving are seeking an enthusiastic coach to join our existing team to supoort our divers from the lessons programme through age group and skills competitions up to masters level. Contratc basis and hours are flexible based on experience.
Responsible to: Head Coach
Location: Amersham
The Dive Coach key responsibilities are listed below:
- Swim England Assistant Diving Coach or Swim England Diving Coach or equivalent qualification.
- Coaching of club divers on a casual basis. The hours can include evenings, morning sessions and weekends due to the pool time availability on offer to our club.
- Hours to be pre-agreed with the Head Coach.
- Attend specified competitions as agreed with the Head Coach.
- Planning and managing the development of individual athletes under your supervision.
- Helping facilitate the transition of divers through the club to lessons /development / senior squad’s levels.
- Contributing to an effective coaching structure and engaging actively in continuous professional development and the development of Amersham Diving Club.
- Be a positive role model, creating a positive environment in which to motivate and encourage the divers and parents participating in diving.
- Positively and constructively communicate and motivate children with the ability to consider varied social, emotional and physical attributes.
- Demonstrate behaviour consistent with your position and behave in a way which upholds the reputation of Amersham Swimming and Diving Club. This includes, but is not limited to, compliance with Club and Swim England codes of conduct and the Codes of Ethics. Proactively implement relevant clubs’ procedures in a timely manner.
- Coach designated group and provide adhoc cover for other coaches as required.
- Maintain awareness and compliance with Swim England guidelines on teaching standards and ensure compliance with the Wavepower safeguarding policy.
- Undertake relevant lessons / squad administration regarding attendance, review of diver performance and squad list reviews as required within agreed role.
