Tim Beletski

Head Coach

Tim joined Haringey Aquatics as head swimming coach in September 2025 having gained 20 years’ coaching experience with a number of other highly respected aquatics clubs in and around London.

For Tim, swimming has been a life-long passion. As a former swimmer himself, he regularly qualified for national championships and represented his home country at international meets.

While Tim has coached many high-performance youth athletes to national level, his experience is broad based, ranging from the early stages of Learn to Swim programmes through to coaching masters swimmers. Irrespective of age or ability, Tim aims to support his swimmers to achieve their personal goals and to realise their potential.

He holds many swim teaching and coaching qualifications, most notably he is a Swim England senior swim coaching certificate holder and has level 2 qualifications in swim teaching, open water swim coaching and fitness instruction. 

 

Jake Austin 

Swimming Coach 

Jake is a Swim England Level 2 qualified Swimming Coach and has been part of the teaching and coaching team at Haringey Aquatics since 2016. Jake joined our Learn to Swim programme as a four-year-old and soon graduated to our competitive swimming programme where, he regularly reached County and Regional championships.

Motivated by the desire to give back to a sport and club that has brought him so much joy, Jake qualified as a swimming teacher aged 17 and began investing his time and expertise in our next generation of young athletes. He qualified as a swim coach in 2020 and is now head of house at Tottenham Green Pools. He is passionate that our swimmers enjoy their competitive journey in the club and seeks to ensure they have the tools to realise their potential in the sport

 

Haydn Hoole

Swimming Coach

Haydn is a dedicated Swim England Level 2 coach with a long-standing connection to Haringey Aquatics, having swum for the club since the age of nine. During his time as a competitive swimmer, he represented the club at both county and regional level, gaining valuable experience that now informs his coaching.

Passionate about developing swimmers of all ages and abilities, Haydn focuses on building strong technique, confidence, and a love for the sport. Whether teaching on our Learn to Swim programme, coaching youth athletes on the competitive pathway, or training masters swimmers, he strives to create a supportive and motivating environment that helps all swimmers reach their potential. His approach to coaching consistently promotes discipline, teamwork, and lifelong fitness.

Haydn also holds a Swim England Level 2 teaching qualification. 

 

Mark Turner

Swimming Coach

Mark has been part of the teaching and coaching team at Haringey Aquatics for a decade and has around 30 years experience coaching in aquatic sport. Mark coaches our development squad at Tottenham Green Pools and Fitness and has teaching responsibilities in our Learn to Swim programme at the Dukes Aldridge Academy.

Prior to joining Haringey Aquatics, Mark was Head Coach at a North London swimming club where he coached swimmers through to National level competition. 

Mark holds a Level 2 qualification in both teaching and coaching and a National Pool Lifeguarding Qualification. 

 

Pippa Shuttleworth

Swimming Coach

Pippa joined Haringey Aquatics in 2025 having spent several years coaching age group athletes at Hatfield Swimming Club. She has played a key role in developing swimmers across both pool and open water disciplines to county and regional levels, many to medall winning performances.

As a former age group athlete herself Pippa reached the highest level of competition, medalling eight times at national championships and representing Great Britain as a junior for six consecutive years to 2017.

This experience has helped shape her coaching philosophy. Pippa believes commitment, dedication, hard work and coachability are some of the key ingredients for success among young swimmers. She endeavours to ensure that her coaching is engaging and enjoyable.

Pippa holds a foundation degree in sports coaching from the University of Loughborough and a Swim England Level 2 swim coaching qualification. She is also a qualified Team Manager (Level 2). 

 

Csaba Vinkler

Swimming Coach

Csaba has been coaching for over 20 years and has been part of the Haringey Aquatics coaching team for several seasons. He previously worked for seven years at a north London school, teaching swimming to children of all ages.

Csaba holds a Swim England Level 2 swim coaching qualification. He brings a wealth of experience from across the sporting world, with certificates in strength and conditioning (Level 4), youth strength and conditioning, cycling, handball, gymnastics, fencing, and children's yoga.

As a lifelong swimmer and former handball player, sport for Csaba is not just about physical fitness — it's about discipline, connection, and joy. Whether coaching children or adults, helping others improve, grow stronger, or simply smile gives him a deep sense of success and purpose.

 

Mariette Fourie

Assistant Swimming Coach

Mariette is an experiences level 2 swim teacher and assistant coach at Haringey Aquatics. Her teaching expertise spans the age spectrum, from babies to adults. Originally from South Africa, with a swimming teacher as a mother, Mariette has a lifelong connection to the sport.

With 20-years of experience as a primary school teacher, specialising in Physical Education, she is well-equipped with the skills to effectively differentiate and adapt her teaching to meet the individual needs of every swimmer.

Known for her passion, supportive, and structured approach, Mariette is committed to helping swimmers build confidence, improve technique, and reach their goals. She is currently working toward her level 2 coaching qualification, further strengthening her ability to support swimmers at all levels.

 

Debora Marletta

Swimming Teacher

Debora joined Haringey Aquatics in 2025 as is a qualified Swim England Level 2 swimming teacher, working principally in the latter stages of our Learn to Swim programme and with the club's development squad.

Debora first discovered her love for swimming at the age of six, when she joined a local club in Catania, Italy. From those early days, the pool quickly became her second home. She worked her way up through the ranks and competed at a regional level, gaining valuable lessons in discipline, perseverance, and teamwork. Swimming remains an important part of her life and she continues to train for fitness and fun.

She began teaching at her local pool during her high school years and from the start found it deeply rewarding to see young swimmers gain confidence, improve their skills, and enjoy the water.

For Debora, swimming has always been more than just a sport – it is where she feels most at home. Her goal is to share that passion, helping every child build good technique and a lifelong love for the water.

 

Sarah Samworth

Swimming Teacher

Sarah joined Haringey Aquatics (or Haringey Borough Swimming Club as it was formerly known) in 1984 when she started swimming lessons. She soon progressed to representing the club in open competitions.

Sarah qualified as Swim England Level 2 swim teacher in 2003 and is one of our most experienced members of staff. She currently coaches our development squad at Tottenham Green Pools but has supported the club in many teaching and coaching roles for more than 20 years. Sarah is also a longstanding member of the club’s committee.

For many years, her swim teaching qualification also enabled her to teach children to swim at the school where she works, always encouraging children to embark on their journey in aquatics sport.
