Development Squad (stages 8-10)

This squad is for swimmers who have completed Stage 7 of the Swim England Learn to Swim Framework and are aiming to get into the Competitive Squad. The training is planned to raise levels of performance, teach the skills required for competitive performance and improve technique.

There is a strong focus on consistency, stamina and perfecting starts and turns. Swimmers will also learn how to warm up, cool down, stretch, relax, and focus. The emphasis is on training but there will be opportunities to compete in galas and meets.  Once strong techniques are in place, swimmers can progress onto our competitive pathway.

Location: Park Road Pool & Fitness, Tottenham Green Pool & Fitness and Mallinson Sports Centre

Timetable:

Park Road Pool & Fitness and Tottenham Green Pool & Fitness:

(Term-time only – provision during some school holidays will vary)

Stage 8: Swimmers attend one session on the same day each week

Stage 9: Swimmers can attend either two sessions (Tuesday and Thursday) or three sessions (Monday, Wednesday & Friday)  each week

Stage 10: Swimmers can attend up to five sessions each week.

Fees:  

• Stage 8 - £30 per month (1 session per week) 
• Stage 9a - £35 per month (2 sessions per week)
• Stage 9b - £39 per month (3 session per week)
• Stage 10 - £42 per month (up to 5 sessions per week)

Mallinson Sports Centre:

(Term-time only – alternative sessions may be available during school holidays)

Fees:  

• Stage 8 - £35 per month (1 session per week)
