We are seeking to discuss this opportunity with interested, enthusiastic, hardworking and knowledgeable swim coaches. The position is on an self-employed basis with a competitive salary level and other benefits.
Suitable candidates will have experience of coaching within a swimming club setting and a thorough understanding of swimming technique and the long-term nature of swimming development. Applications are welcome from all sections of the community and should demonstrate current coaching skills/competencies and all relevant experience and qualifications gained thus far. The successful candidates will be organised, proactive and capable of working both independently and contributing positively to an effective wider coaching team. Excellent communication skills are vital, along with the ability to easily engage and build trust with swimmers under their charge.
Coaching will take place at venues across the city of Glasgow although travel to other venues for competitions will be a requirement of the role.
City of Glasgow Swim Team are one of Scotland and the UK's leading swimming clubs. Based at the famous Tollcross International Swimming Centre and other pools around the city, the club have a growing membership and ambitious plans for further success and progress. Recent successes include multiple winners of the Scottish Swimming National League, top performing club at Scottish National Age Groups for the past 3 years and placing over 30 swimmers on Scottish National Squad programmes. The club runs programmes from novice to elite with a world class coaching team who will mentor and support any successful candidate.
